General Surgery |
| Note: When we first put this list together in April 2009, the San had a category of "General Surgery" specialists, but now it doesn't - see the "Areas of Special Interest" section on this page. Yet if you go to the "Alphabetical List of Specialists" on this page there are still a number of specialists with "General Surgery" besides their name. In our June 2010, updating of this page we are not removing from this page the names of any doctors who are not now shown as a "General Surgery" specialist - we are just making a note of what has happened. |
| It seems to us that, if ever one needed surgery of a particular kind, one should use a doctor who specialises in that particular kind of surgery - and not a "General Surgery" specialist, and not a doctor who claims to be a specialist in two or more areas. Whether this is a sound view, we're not sure. |
